Woman unable to have children left in tears after being turned away from petting farm for not having kids – The Sun
A WOMAN unable to have children was left in tears after being turned away from a petting farm for not having kids.
Animal-lover Laura Duligall, 46, booked tickets with hubby Paul after last visiting as a child.
But they were refused entry along with a couple in their 80s thanks to its “safeguarding policy”.
The NHS nurse accused Marsh Farm in South Woodham Ferrers, Essex, of “discrimination”.
She says she has “had years of counselling and therapy” and sometimes struggles with depression because she cannot have kids.
'WORLD GONE MAD'
Laura, 46, of Chelmsford, raged on Facebook: “Refused entry to Marsh Farm today for not having children.
“Yes you read that correctly, booked tickets online yesterday, turned up today with the printed ticket to be told ‘sorry you cannot enter Marsh Farm without a child.’
“I will be taking this further. How dare a company discriminate like this.”
She added: “Can I not sit outside McDonalds and eat near the play area now? Swimming pools ? Zoo? Seriously world gone mad.”
She said the elderly couple had also been refused entry for the same reasons.
The farm, which has llamas and sheep, bans adult-only visitors.
It said the policy “is not intended to cause distress and affords no judgements whatsoever”.
